Community Resource Specialist

Immediate full-time opportunity for a Community Resource Specialist in our Aging & Disability Resource Center/Elder Helpline. Essential to this position are excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and training skills to support and promote the various components and responsibilities of the Elder Helpline/Aging & Disability Resource Center. Candidate must promote the efforts and increase awareness of the Alliance for Aging/Aging & Disability Resource Center through trainings, educational and outreach events, presentations, and speaking engagements to the local community, professionals, and other organizations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Resource management (taxonomy), client data collection, data support, report inquiries, research new programs and services and outreach/educational presentations to the community. 
  • The development, maintenance, and training as related to the resource database, ensuring that resources and records are maintained in accordance with both contractual requirements and AIRS standards. 
  • Promote the efforts and increase awareness of the Alliance for Aging/Aging & Disability Resource Center through trainings, educational and outreach events, presentations, and speaking engagements to the local community, professionals, and other organizations. 
  • Organizes and coordinates the annual update of resources maintained in the resource database.
  • Reviews appropriate reports, releases, brochures, and other materials to keep abreast of current developments in the local aging network and community resources.
  • Responsible for community outreach activities and presentations to inform and educate the public, professionals, and other organizations about the Alliance for Aging and the Aging & Disability Resource Center.

Position: Contract Manager (Social Services)

Immediate full-time opportunity for a Contract Manager (Social Services) position for an experienced professional in compliance and quality assurance. Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills and should have experience with compliance and quality assurance of social services programs. Candidates must be willing to travel throughout Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.

Candidate will be responsible for monitoring contract compliance of agencies receiving state and federal funds for social services for the elderly through the Alliance. Responsibilities include:

  • Provider monitoring including reviewing policies and procedures, client satisfaction interviews, service sampling, outcome measures, and program spending.
  • Preparing various reports that include contract performance, recommendations for improvement, and identification of non-compliance issues.
  • Providing ongoing technical assistance and training related to social services and program administration.
  • Maintaining constant open lines of communication with social service providers and providing guidance, as needed.
  • Conducting presentations and trainings for contracted social service providers on required program policies.
  • Maintaining knowledge and understanding of current policies and procedures.
