She earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from Florida International University and her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. She is currently completing her dissertation toward a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision, with a specialization in addiction counseling.

A commitment to advocacy and community

Jessica’s professional path also reflects a lifelong connection to the arts. She began ballet training at age three and performed with Miami City Ballet and Ballet Concerto Company. Her experience includes television reporting and hosting, performances with internationally recognized artists, and ongoing media engagement through the podcast Esto es una Catarsis.

As an advocate for access to mental health care, Jessica joined fellow counselors in Washington, D.C., for the American Counseling Association’s Hill Day, meeting with congressional offices to champion policies that expand access to care. She also advocates for women and children, supports women facing fertility challenges, and serves on the executive boards of educational institutions.

Please join us in welcoming Jessica to the Alliance for Aging. We look forward to the experience, perspective, and dedication she brings to our Board.
