As an operations leader of multiple operational departments at Baptist Health, Lisa Chin creates an environment that can fulfill the needs of patients, staff and community while helping her team grow. An innovative leader, she has collaborated with the hospital’s many teams to identify improvements in the patient’s overall experience at the hospital while looking outward for opportunities to improve their overall quality of life. Lisa’s true passion is working with her team members to support their growth and development.
Before transitioning into the healthcare field, Lisa spent 20 years in front-line and leadership positions in the hospitality industry. For the last 23 years, Lisa has served in multiple roles throughout Baptist Health South Florida, including with Baptist Outpatient Services and as a leader in various corporate departments, including South Miami Registration and Corporate Pre-Registration. In 2015 Lisa took on the Director of Environmental Services at West Kendall Baptist Hospital than added the Food Services Department in 2016 to her areas of responsibility. In 2021 Lisa was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Operations at West Kendall Baptist Hospital overseeing multiple operational departments.
Lisa is also very involved in hospital service initiatives such as leading West Kendall Baptist Hospital Green and Sustainable Committee and the Hospital Green Team, leading multiple WKBH performance improvement project while obtaining her Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and was the WKBH Volunteer Leader of the Year in 2019. Lisa has a strong commitment to our community as demonstrated by her service to Alliance for Aging as Chair of the Board of Directors and serves on the Board for Whispering Manes Therapeutic Riding Center as well as holding multiple troop leadership positions for Boy Scouts of America. She also was a mentor for residents at Inn Transition South, a facility supporting women and families facing domestic violence & homelessness.
Lisa received her Culinary Arts Degree from Johnson & Wales University in Providence RI, a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Florida International University, Miami, FL, and her Master of Science in Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL.

Under Lisa’s guidance, the Alliance continues to strengthen its impact — always learning, innovating, and pushing beyond comfort zones to better serve our community.

What do you tell people who ask you about the Alliance?
I advise of the services offered and that it is the #1 organization that coordinates services for our 60 and older as well as our disable population in Miami Dade and Monroe Country with caring and supportive team members.
What was the highlight of your term as Chair of the organization?
Any time we can get out to appreciate the staff that is doing the frontline work serving out community members it is a highlight. Celebrating and connecting with the team from Alliance for Aging is always a highlight.
How do you feel that the organization has moved forward?
We are continually looking for opportunities to strengthen our service to the community with learning best practices and implementing where possible, tracking new and innovative trends that might support the organization and trying to push past our current comfort zone to always look for growth opportunities.
What motivates you to volunteer your time and effort?
I was raised to give back with action and have followed in parents example. It feels good to share what you can when the opportunities present themselves.
