Dates TBA | Cost: FREE
Moving for Better Balance® (TJQMBB) is a research-based balance training regimen designed for older adults at risk of falling and people with balance disorders. This exercise program is designed to be used as a fall prevention intervention for community senior service providers, clinical rehabilitation, and research projects. Although its origin can be traced to the contemporary simplified 24-form Tai Ji Quan routine, the program consists of an 8-form routine core with built-in exercise focusing on stimulating musculoskeletal, sensory, and cognitive systems to improve both static and dynamic postural stability, mindful control of body positioning in space, functional walking activities and build lower-extremity strength.
The program consists of 24 sessions each 60 minutes.
Length of program: 2 sessions a week for 12 weeks
Offered: In-person
Cost: Free
