Max B. Rothman, JD, LL.M., President & CEO of the Alliance for Aging, recently announced that Peter J. Lopez has been appointed as Chair of the organization’s Board of Directors. Said Rothman “I am delighted that Peter has taken on the position of Board Chair. He brings a wealth of experience to this role and I look forward to working with him over the next few years to help meet the growing social service needs of the older adult community in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.”
Peter J. López is a purpose-driven leader whose career reflects a deep commitment to service, equity, and community well-being. Peter brings both professional expertise and personal passion to advancing dignity, independence, and opportunity for older adults.
Peter presently serves as a Provider Network Manager for Solis Health Plans. He has extensive experience in healthcare leadership and provider relations. He has dedicated 16 years to his career in building bridges across systems of care. He is known for cultivating trusted partnerships, aligning stakeholders around shared goals, and championing solutions that improve access, quality, and outcomes—especially for underserved and vulnerable populations. His work consistently centers on people first, recognizing that meaningful impact is achieved when collaboration and compassion guide strategy.
He previously served in executive leadership roles, including CEO of Sainz Management Group, where he led initiatives focused on strategic planning and organizational development.
Peter’s service on the Alliance for Aging Board has been marked by strong advocacy and thoughtful leadership. He has been a vocal supporter of programs and policies addressing food insecurity, housing stability, health equity, and social isolation among older adults. The other Alliance for Aging Board Officers joining Peter are Heather M. Harris, Vice-Chair, Joy Siegel, EdD, MBA, Secretary, Nicholas Landera, CPA, CVA, CFE, Treasurer and Lisa Chin, Immediate Past Chair.
As Chair, Peter seeks to inspire innovation, deepen cross-sector partnerships, and ensure the Alliance for Aging continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of the aging population. His leadership style is inclusive and forward-looking, grounded in the belief that aging is not a challenge to be managed, but a stage of life deserving respect, investment, and opportunity.
The Alliance for Aging provides home and community-based services that allow older adults to remain safe and secure in their own homes. Services, including home-delivered meals and meals at senior centers, adult day care, personal care and chore services, legal services and transportation, are provided to older adults through our network of local agencies in the community. As a nonprofit area agency on aging, the Alliance provides quality assurance to ensure that services delivered by our providers are following federal and state requirements.
