Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC)
The Alliance for Aging is designated by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs as the Aging and Disability Resource Center for Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. Aging and Disability Resource Centers (also known as ADRCs) are located throughout Florida, and provide Florida’s elders, persons with disabilities, and their families with easier access to programs and long-term care services.
The role of the ADRC begins with the Helpline, which provides information and referral about resources in our community. You can reach the staff by calling 305-670-HELP (4357) or by calling toll-free 1-800-96-ELDER.
There are many different programs and services that can help older adults and persons with disabilities with their needs. These programs may be through government funding, local municipalities or charities, or private pay. Each program may have different application processes and different eligibility requirements. Our specialized staff at the ADRC will help you or your loved ones understand the options available in order to make informed choices.
As the point of entry to long-term care programs, we provide easier access and streamlined eligibility processes to assist those in need.
