What:
With nearly 500,000 people age 60 or older, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties are national examples of America’s future. Older Americans make tremendous differences in the quality of life in South Florida by “giving back” to their communities. On November 14, 2013, the Alliance for Aging will present awards to individuals who are examples of Positive Living at the 6th ANNUAL POSITIVE LIVING AWARDS at Jungle Island. A reception honoring all nominees was hosted by Sabadell United Bank in September.
Awards will be presented to following wonderful people as in the following areas:
- Animal/Wildlife – Helen Donaldson
- Arts, Media, Sports and Entertainment – Judith Traum
- Corporate and Public Service – Dr. Enid Curtis Pinkney
- Education/Mentoring – Chris Quencer
- Environmental – Jerry Wilkinson
